What is good in other people's homes is not necessarily suitable in our homes, so in my opinion, when decorating your house, don't follow people or trends too much, but try to create your own version of the best home style.
I'm a minimalist decor team that doesn't have a lot of items and details, apart from being easier to clean, there's not a lot that needs to be wiped/cleaned, the house looks more spacious & it's also more economical and less consumptive.

Our house is classified as a compact house with an open space concept. However, we have 2 areas, namely the public area and the private area. The most aesthetic and favorite part of this house is the divider between these two areas. Separating these two areas is a sliding glass door and is equipped with windows. Even though it is called a divider, it can still be seen between these areas. This becomes the selling point of the house.

Grid Window
The main windows of our house use wide aluminum frames with a grid style that can be opened only in the middle row while the top & bottom are dead/can't be opened
The reason why you choose aluminum frames is because it protects against vicious termites, while why choose a wide & grid model so that from the outside it doesn't look like your house is narrow & modern minimalist. so that the glass isn't too transparent & in case it breaks, cover it with a black rayban sticker

Japandi Twist Korean Style
Mixed theme house? Why not?!
Like our house, the facade is like an old colonial house. The windows and doors are in the style of Javanese house-style krepyaks. Curved doors & minimalist style furniture, some Japanese-Korean style interior furniture.
But even though it involves many themes, I still stick to one principle, namely color. As long as the white color is combined with a wooden motif, it is suitable for entering this house.

One place to spend time at home is the bed. The very comfortable bed layout is one of the reasons why this room is a favorite. Day and night we get good air circulation, because the bedroom is located next to an open garden. Even though there are not too many items in the bedroom, there are 3 decorative items that make you feel at home in this room for a long time, namely an air conditioner for cooling, a side table and a choice of bed sheets that make you comfortable when lying down. Because of that comfort, we only decorate our bedrooms as necessary and choose colors that match each other.

Open Shelving Kitchen
Since the previous kitchen which was made of HPL-coated wood was rotting, especially in the sink area & damp inside the cabinet, finally when we renovated I no longer wanted to use a wooden kitchen set. Immediately requested a kitchen table using corcoran coated with granite & iron for the kitchen set.
To match the concept of the first floor, namely industrial, the color was still chosen black with a touch of wood on the backing. The wood uses open meranti wood. because this kitchen set is an open shelving model, so it is better to look at, try to always keep it neat, one of which is reducing items & using a lot of storage. For example, I chose stacked drawers to be placed at the bottom side by side with a closed storage box to reduce dust & animals, while at the top I chose rattan storage to make it more aesthetic.
Make sure the color of the kitchen set and the details match in rhythm so it looks neater & nicer to look at hehhehe, I chose hexagon granite for the kitchen floor so it looks more outstanding.

Night Vibes at Home 🏠🌙🌃🕯️🥀
For lighting at night, we prefer to only turn on the lights in certain parts/spots. Apart from saving electricity costs, we also like this kind of ambience because it gives the impression of being warm, cozy and shady.
Often at night we only turn on ceiling spotlights, LED spotlights and hanging lights. The warm white light color (3000k - 4000k) is really good for creating a warm and romantic home atmosphere at night 🤎

The facade of our house is very ordinary, because the concept of our house is a growing house so we don't really focus on the facade, it will change anyway. But for a while we also wanted an unusual house facade. So we chose a box style house facade with a combination of 2 colors, namely black and white. So that it's not too stiff, we also used exposed brick painted white. The style of the house could be said to be a minimalist American industrial style. When I first bought the house, I didn't even think about changing the facade, let alone renovating it, so when I first got the house, the facade was still brought by the developer, at least with the addition of a canopy in the garage and in front of the entrance. The standard garage canopy uses a gypsum-rich material, while the front of the entrance uses a membrane-rich material that is commonly used in cafes.
