With limited space, we utilize the space under the stairs as a kitchen area. We don't make many cabinets so that the room doesn't look too crowded.
We organize all the cooking equipment, eating utensils and spices to be stored in the cabinets that have been provided so that the kitchen still looks clean and tidy.
The island table is deliberately made large enough to be used as an area for cooking, cutting and preparing food. We also make the island table a dining table, by closing the stove area with a pocket door system, the island table becomes wider.

The #rumahlimut dining room is simple, with vertical shiplap walls made of GRC, a carara motif marble dining table, cross back chairs and sliding French doors made of UPVC as access to the skylight area. The French country theme is our reference for this area.
The #rumahlimut kitchen concept is open plan, namely a kitchen without partitions that combines with the TV area & dining table.
I really like the white kitchen theme with a combination of gold touches on the brass cabinet pulls & artificial wood beams on the ceiling to give a warm impression to the all-white cabinet and backsplash colors. Then, I match the black and white striped roman shade on the window above the sink so that the Parisian theme remains consistent.

“Limited Space, Unlimited Style: Kitchen & Dining Room Inspiration”
This small kitchen that is integrated with the dining room can be decorated beautifully and efficiently. Since this house has 5 residents, more than 4 dining chairs are needed, so there is a kitchen island table with 2 bar chairs.
The L-shaped kitchen maximizes the corner of the room including the cooking area (stove), food processing table, washing area (sink) and refrigerator as a place to store food.
This kitchen has undergone several makeovers to adjust the existing budget. The first kitchen in 2016 (last slide) and changed to the first slide in 2024. It has been 8 years in the process.
This is a change in the kitchen design from white to all wood combined with dark gray. One of the changes with LOW BUDGET is by only replacing the cabinet coating and also covering the island table with PVC coating to make it look like new.
To make it look fresh, decorate it with small green plants as decoration and install decorative hanging lamps. Complete with shelves to store spices, food or medicine.

Affordable materials but add quite a lot of decorative elements to our house because it minimizes the budget.
The fence area, gates are combined with hollow iron and expanded metal. The wall section has rosters so that it is not plain, also round geometric shapes for house numbers from cutting iron plates.
The kitchen table top uses HPL on the island section to make it more affordable than marble or other materials.
The stairs use SPC wood motifs for a warm impression and are lower in cost than solid wood. The foyer divider also still uses the same HPL finishing as the kitchen.
The void access in the middle of the house with a brick wall that adds to the natural atmosphere is also a focal point in our house.

Since the beginning of designing a house, the open space concept has been our choice. In addition to maximizing the narrow land to make it look wider, another reason we combined the family area and kitchen area is that for us, these two places have the same meaning, namely a place to spend quality time with family. We use the sofa as a divider between these two spaces, the vibes given are warm because the house always lives in this area without partitions.

Our dining room is not directly connected to the kitchen area, because our kitchen area is semi-outdoor. To make it seem more 'unified' and the house area feels more spacious, we remodeled the existing door into a large glass door that can be fully opened so that the dining and kitchen areas are not separated. However, we use different concept and color choices in the dining and kitchen areas so that the atmosphere is fresh every time we pass through different areas 😆🤍

We agreed on an open plan concept for the kitchen and family room areas, the goal is to make the room look more spacious and stay connected with the children when we are in the kitchen area.
Because our kitchen is located under the stairs, there is not much space to add storage space. We designed the cabinets in the kitchen set to store various eating utensils, cooking utensils, and spices.
We also combined the island table with the stove table and made a pocket door system so that it can be closed when we need a wider table.
