Second house problems... I bought this house in 2018 with minor renovations assisted by the team from Bintoro Corporation and the architect. I use the services of contractors and architects with a limited budget so my main priority is a kitchen area that is simple and free of leaks. This house consists of 3 floors, so at that time it was quite detailed to work on every leak point. One of the main problems with second-hand cluster houses is that the walls are attached directly to neighbors and there are several leaking spots. I took out the lower kitchen cabinets because the walls were damp. I just use cement plus a door leaf as a covering because this is more durable. While using Bintoro's services, of course it's not always smooth, but it's not a major thing. —— Bathroom renovation This tiny bathroom finally had the fortune to renovate, even though it was only a low budget 🚿 Originally, the developer's wall tiles were white-orange. In 2022, we made over the bathroom walls with checkered patterned wallpaper stickers and replaced the floor tiles to match the monochrome theme of the house. Finally, at the end of 2024, we decided to make this bathroom a little more comfortable by: ✔ Change the tiles - Choose a terrazzo motif for a fresher & more timeless look. ✔ Upgrade the shower set - A touch of black creates a modern & elegant impression. ✔ Repaint the walls - Neutral colors make the room feel more spacious and clean. ✔️ Cabinet Mirror - Make additional multifunctional bathroom storage but make it neat. ✔️Replace the bathroom door - The old PVC door provided by the developer was badly damaged, the hinges often came off, the knobs didn't work, and even the doors had many holes. Finally we replaced it with an aluminum door with full glass to make it more durable and aesthetic. It doesn't always have to be expensive to get a comfortable and beautiful bathroom. I've lived in this house since I was little since 2000. It's been 24 years! Yep, this is my parents' house. In the past, when we just moved, the area around the house was still surrounded by a pond. Even my house used to be a pond/swamp which was then dredged. At that time there was no road access. So when I go to school I have to walk along the pond, weeds and block people😂 It's the middle of nowhere, but why do my parents want to live here? Yep, the main reason is because in the area where my house was built there is an Islamic school. And finally the mothers who wanted to build an Islamic family gathered and built houses around the Islamic school. Yep, and that was my school too. Therefore, of course my family is very religious and active in social activities. So this house is not too decorated. Until I got older and had my own income, I started decorating the rooms in my parents' house one by one. This is the 2nd bathroom in my house. And... This is the result of my low budget bathroom renovation. It is called low budget because the materials I use are very affordable. For the bathroom walls, I did not use ceramic / granite. I only used waterproof wallfoam stickers. I used 32 sheets which in total cost around 180 thousand. For the floor I used calina pixie from habitat milan, the price is around 240 thousand / box. For the ceramic with a banana leaf motif, it is a plain white ceramic with a banana leaf motif drawn by my husband using a waterproof marker. And to make it look sweeter, I added Dutch teak wood that I painted black as a list. —— Gang Senggol Kitchen Transformation Actually, this kitchen is what makes my account really busy on Ohouse which is said to be inspiring 🥹 Even though this tiny kitchen like Gang Senggol is only 1.65 m wide and 4.8 m long. It's not an open space kitchen either, because we bought this house already built by the developer and there is a partition between the family room and the kitchen. Previously, this kitchen had an open kitchen theme (slide 6) so there were no kitchen cabinets, we only added shelves to store kitchen spices, but it did look messier. After living in the house for 5 years, we had a little fortune to change the kitchen and add cabinets / kitchen sets in full black. We covered the backsplash and table top with wall stickers to save on the budget (slide 5). Finally, this is our kitchen now, after joining ohouse from season 3-5, thank God I saved the benefits from ohouse and used it to renovate the kitchen, by replacing the backsplash, replacing the sink built by the developer, and adding vinyl to the kitchen floor. Room Transformation 🤍 The small renovation that I did in this room was to replace the uneven floor with vinyl. The good thing about installing this vinyl is that you don't have to dismantle the old granite, but you can stick it directly on top of it. So this small renovation can be done quickly and easily.
