MY LIVING ROOM AT DAWN
When the day starts to end, different colors are created in this Japandi themed living room. more yellowish, warmer and inviting.
when night falls, we rarely use bright lights. We prefer to use strip lights and standing lamps with warm white colors to create a warm and relaxing ambience. ready to rest.
We chose carpets, sofas with soft pillows, and easy chairs with colors that fit the theme, so it was as if they were saying "let's sit down first, are you tired? How is today? want to watch TV to cheer up your tired day?"
The furniture we use is mostly from Ikea Indonesia with light wood colors, apart from that for the TV backdrop, we also order custom ones with matching colors. for other decorations according to my preferences, who like plants, books and various handicrafts that we bought in Jogja.
tip: when renovating a house, install two types of lights in the living room, warm white stripes on the ceiling and standing lamps, and bright lights in the middle of the ceiling. When you want to relax, only use warm white lights, and when you have guests, you can turn on bright lights.

My Dream Kitchen: Before • After
From the beginning of the house renovation, we wanted a kitchen that was open, without partitions, minimalist and full of light. The challenge is that the kitchen is open so it must be cleaned diligently, it also has to be pleasing to the eye.
We deliberately didn't use a cooker hood because the ventilation in this kitchen is very good with the window above the stove. Large windows also let in lots of light, making the kitchen and other rooms bright and eliminating the need to turn on the kitchen during the day.
We chose a custom kitchen set made from HPL-coated multiplex material with a matt gray color that is easy to clean and doesn't look shiny and oily. For the top table we used a matte white quadra which is claimed to be low maintenance and durable.
And this is my dream kitchen come true, which is not only a place to cook, but also to communicate with family, accompany and watch children play and do other activities.

The modern-industrial facade is a copy of the Japanese house! 🥹🥹
During the renovation we chose a simple and unique facade inspired by modern Japanese houses. The fence was chosen with an exposed cement finish and was inspired by the work of Japanese architect, Tadao Ando.
What makes this facade unique is that it is like boxes that are stacked unevenly so that a 1 meter overhang is formed. This overhang also functions to increase the building area on the 2nd floor.
Apart from the square shape, the monochrome colors of gray and white can give a modern impression, the industrial impression can be obtained from the exposed fence walls and fences made from perforated materials.

Bush House Theme
From the moment we renovated this house, we wanted a house that was bright with lots of window openings, could accommodate my hobby as a plant lover, and a simple but unique facade.
then the Shrub House with a Tropical Industrial and modern theme was created. Three themes were chosen at once because we like simplicity in the industrial theme, relief in the tropical theme and neatness in the modern theme.
The industrial theme is clearly visible in the fence with perforated material, the fence wall and part of the back garden with exposed cement finishing. The tropical theme can be seen in the many plants, large windows, high ceilings, fish pond and wooden decking. The modern theme can be seen from the minimalist box-shaped facade with a dominant white and gray color.

I've always preferred kitchens that are spacious, bright and open to kitchens that are closed in, hehe. Yes, this is my dream kitchen, with large windows overlooking the side garden.
In my opinion, this kitchen is of sufficient size, not small but not too big, making it free to cook while accompanying the children to play in the adjacent family room.

3 things that are my favorite in the kitchen
1. white hanging shelf.
This hanging shelf is custom made. When we first started building the kitchen, because it had a large window in front of it, we decided to order a floating shelf from a regular vendor. This hanging shelf is made from hollow iron which is finished with white duco paint. The shelf is made of white HPL-coated plywood. hanging shelves inspired by donut and coffee shops in malls.
2. plants and their various pots.
I'm really happy as a plant lover, being able to put plants on shelves where during the day it's bright and gets sunlight. I put plants like njoy betel, Brazilian philo and mican philo, all of which are plants that are easy to care for. For pots I use unused rice basket covers, plastic pots and terracotta pots.
Oh yes, if you have a broken coffee cup (I have one with a broken handle) you can use it as a pot. I used leca balls planting media and existing plant cuttings.
3. collection of coffee cups from pottery
Yes, I really like pottery and because I also like coffee, I collect several handmade coffee cups that I buy online and offline in the Salatiga and Yogyakarta areas.

DINING TABLE WITH MANY VIEWS.
Because this dining table is in the middle of an open plan room, when we eat we can freely look anywhere. you can look at TV, you can see views of the garden and pool, you can also see people cooking in the kitchen like being a judge on a cooking show on TV.

Decor and Utilization of Storage Under the Stairs.
Due to the limited area of the house and our need for a lot of space, when renovating we really thought about land use and storage. one of them is on this section of the stairs.
We only decorated the stairs next to the kitchen and the main bedroom door with live ornamental plants. with a close pot cover in white and gray.
Meanwhile, we use storage under the stairs to store cat food, snacks, microwaves, dispensers, coffee corners and pantries that can be accessed by people.

The dining room at Rumah Semak is in one open plan room with the kitchen and living room, so while eating you can watch TV, look at the kitchen or look at the garden. Because it is in the middle of the room, this table is very functional not only for eating, but also for working or meetings.
In our house there are no special decorations for Ramadan, instead it is quiet and the table is cleaner during the day 😅

Facade at Night 🥹🌙
This is what the facade of the Semak House looks like at night. We made it dramatic with downlights and a warm white ceiling so it looks more serene.
As for the bright lights on the terrace, we rarely turn them on, unless we have guests. If it is not lit, the terrace will not be clearly visible because the street lights are brighter than the terrace.

This house was renovated during the pandemic. At that time the need for "healing" such as being in a cafe, an outdoor room full of plants became very high. However, because at that time the Stay at Home policy was being promoted, we transformed the back garden into a private healing area.

MY GREEN CORNER WORKSPACE
Hi all!
because I'm almost the only one using the table in this room, so I decorated it with things that I like.
I like the color green, that's why the majority of the colors on this table are green, starting from the tablecloth, to the keyboard and mouse.
I like plants, so I also decorated this table with artificial and real plants that are very tolerant of minimal light, namely pothos. Just put it in a container with water and cover the leca ball with a cover pot that I sewed myself.
I also like Japanese culture and cartoons such as Ghibli films, that's why I have lots of figurines of Ghibli characters, as well as several traditional Japanese shop Legos.
I also like drawing since I was little, so I display some of my work so it adds a fun and very personal impression.
I bought almost all the items at Tokopedia and Ikea. Meanwhile, the table can be folded and is custom made.
