DIY interior windows
We made a DIY window frame for our Japanese-style room!
My wife came up with the idea of making a modern shoji-like design, so we decided to make one right away using some leftover wood.
We used a lattice pattern as the base, with narrow vertical spacing on the left half,
and split the right half into three parts, top and bottom.
This alone is quite Japanese,
so we paneled the bottom half and painted it emerald green.
We used thin pieces of lumber to give it a modern look.
We were always impressed by my wife's creativity, as she was able to provide both light and privacy without using curtains or blinds. 💡

Living and dining room seen from the kitchen🌿
Recently, I've installed a tatami bed in the living room to make it look like a raised floor🍵
When I was building my house, I was interested in Japanese-style interiors, but when I was collecting them on Pinterest, I realized that my ideal style would not be possible without a great sense of style and a lot of money, so I gave up.
Even so, I still sometimes wonder if I could somehow install tatami, or if I should install shoji screens in the bedroom💭
This time, I found the perfect size and ideal one, and when I installed it right away, it was so good!
I can sit on it, roll around on it, sit on the floor as a table, etc.
Next, I'm aiming for a tray and lantern that I can use here😎

After thinking about what sofa to use in the living room, we decided to use a tatami mat!
I've always wanted a tatami mat.
But when I imagine having one, it seems so lame🥲
I finally found my dream!
It's a tatami bed, but it can also be used as a raised platform.
👩🏻You can lie down on it
👦🏻You can sit here and watch TV, eat snacks, or use it as a desk to draw
👶You can change diapers or just lie around
It's nice that there are so many ways to use it
I thought I could use it as a bed if I had a few guests over.
It fits perfectly with the recessed floor plan, so it has a nook-like atmosphere ✌️
I want to put a togo on the other side someday~~

We installed a vintage record cabinet in a corner of our bedroom.
I had been looking for a nightstand that could hide and display the small things we use in the bedroom, such as remote controls and a futon dryer, but it was difficult to find anything suitable.
Then my wife found a record cabinet, and I couldn't help but clasp my hands together in thanks for the perfect size and purpose.
The calm wood grain and brass lines are just amazing!
The inside of the door has a divider for records, so I'm impressed that it's easy to store things other than the futon dryer.

Because it's located in a corner of the living room, we chose a tatami mat color that matches the wooden floor☺️
We use 55D #akari lighting☺️ The light coming in from the #ブラインダー changes with each passing moment, but when you turn on the akari, you can see a beautiful light as well, creating a relaxing space◎
