This is a 6-year-old boy's room overflowing with toys and books. I used a bookshelf as a partition and put a rug behind the bed to separate it into a play area. I was worried that a high shelf on the left wall would look stuffy when the door was opened, so I separated the clothes storage box I used as a baby and changed it into a low toy storage box. The room is still a mess with overflowing toys, but there is a hidden space behind the bookshelf that is not easily visible, so when the door is opened, it looks a little cleaner. When they grow up, they will sleep separately. When will I ever sleep with this little kid? I always slept with them without separate sleeping arrangements. Of course, I was happy, but the quality of sleep was so poor. 🥲 So I always thought about it and thought I would do it, but I thought I would put it into practice only after I bought a bed for my child, so I bought a bed at the beginning of this year! I thought that my child would sleep only if he or she recognized that it was his or her own space, so I decorated it into a cozy space and made him or her realize that this room is now his or her own room! It is said that separate sleeping arrangements are generally good when separation anxiety disappears at 5-6 years old. And since he or she sleeps deeply after 5 years old, it is an appropriate age to start without stressing both the mother and child. 🙂
