#2025올해의집 Finding the Balance Between Immersion and Rest I wanted to make my home a space where I could truly relax and be myself. For the past two years, I've been slowly collecting items from Today's Home, filling it with my own personal touch. For me, happiness = comfort, so I wanted to infuse my sense of coziness into every corner of my home. After experiencing burnout, I realized that "proper rest is essential for sustained immersion," and I began decorating my space with a focus on the balance between immersion and rest. I especially love cozy, nooks and crannies, so I utilize every nook and cranny in my home. That's why my nickname comes from "nook" (meaning "cozy space, corner"). ✿ Healing Room (Photos 1-2) This small room is where I mostly spend time reading, recording my feelings, and relaxing. It's where I spend most of my time these days. I love green and wood tones, so I decorated it with posters and a wooden desk and bookshelf. Thanks to the wooden bookshelf I recently bought, I feel like I'm tucked away in a corner, and I love the added coziness. 🥹 Playing music, brewing tea, and writing down my feelings here is my favorite routine these days. Here are some photos that capture that moment. ✿ Studio (Photos 3-4) We used to have separate rooms, but this year, my spouse and I redecorated our space to create a space where we can focus together! We've put a vision board on the blank wall, visualizing our future aspirations, and a perforated board on the desk, each decorated to our liking. This has created a space that naturally motivates us. I'm really happy with the atmosphere, as it definitely helps me focus. The desk and storage unit are both Desker products, and having them all in one space creates a unified feel, making it look much cleaner. ✿ Bedroom (Photos 5-6) This year, I'm even more satisfied with the added coziness of my bedroom. I moved the cabinet from another room and added a poster I made with photos I took, along with a wedding photo with a green background. When placed together, it creates a cozy and calming feeling. ✿ Living Room (Photos 7, 8, 9, 10) The living room is decorated with wood and green, both my husband and I's favorite colors. This year, we boldly changed the white-toned living room with a camel sofa and a green single-seater sofa. I think the color combination feels much more soothing. I also created a meditation space in one corner of the living room to meditate in the sunlight every morning. (Last two photos) It's not a very sophisticated or trendy space, but thanks to the items I've been collecting from Today's House for two years, I feel like every corner of the house is naturally connected to me! I'm so satisfied that every day is becoming more comfortable and more my own space. Haha I'm looking forward to seeing how it will be filled next year.
