#highlights #decor #details #nightstand #plants #lights #lamp #sofa #art #midcentury #modern This post highlights my favorite details in my apartment that I think makes my overall aesthetic. Here they are in no particular order…THE WOODEN PERSON FIGURE that stands in the corner atop my audio receiver. It seems ethnic and adds a bit of a global flair to the space. I like that it is tall. It stands at about 17”. THE PEACHY ORANGE-COLORED EUCALYPTUS IN METAL BOWL. Sometimes it’s on my coffee table and other times on my record cabinet. I love the color it adds to the space and its shape. CROSLEY RHAPSODY RECORD PLAYER/RADIO. It’s a pretty design for a radio/record player with its Mid-Century Modern aesthetic and it’s been a staple in my past two apartments’ living rooms. MID-CENTURY MODERN RECORD CABINET. It’s one of my fave furniture pieces. It’s hard for me to imagine not using it. Ive used it in two apartments prior. (another staple) MY MAKESHIFT NIGHTSTAND. It is assembled with four different things that were not meant for each other but do work together wonderfully to make a bedside table with a drawer. The primary piece of it is a vintage audio speaker from the 1960s. THE BIG, BLACK & WHITE ABSTRACT WALL ART that is to the left of the window. The size of it and its minimalistic abstractness makes for a luxurious look. LONICERA LEAF SPRAYS IN A GREEN, ROUND VASE. The leaves add a wonderful pop of color and they are in such a nice and big, round vase that is in one of my favorite colors…green. The sprays are enhanced when the morning sun rays shine on them. HANGING PAPER LANTERN. It is a focal point in the room. ART GALLERY WALL. Minimal in that it only involves four artworks. SLIPCOVERED COUCH. It is a two-seater that I consider the paper lantern’s partner in “focal point”.
