I own the small, round glass table, but I currently have it in storage. I also still have those two wonderful blush-colored chairs but the lighting in my current home do not do those chairs justice. That is the main reason why I opted to store away the table and chairs. Plus it allowed me to have a better spot for the desk than in my cramped bedroom. The first two pics show my previous dining room/home office. I occasionally had just a few people over and we ate there. The third pic shows that I still use the desk and its chair and the bookcase. I either use the built in bar height counter to eat or use my living room’s tea table or any spot in my bedroom.

The living room is a cozy, minimalist space. The lift-top coffee table hides remotes and clutter when not in use. LED lighting saves floor space and creates a warm glow. We’re transitioning into Fall, but i wanted to keep some warmth with the vases i chose, and colors of the throw blankets. The products are from At Home, Wayfair, and Target mainly. Although that palm plant will soon be replaced with a more seasonal piece, I’m still enjoying the look I’ve created so far. My ceilings are also 13ft tall! So I’m diligently planning how future artwork will be placed.

Same flowers but styled differently. I got a big bouquet of yellow filler flowers but they can definitely be the main character! I’ve put majority of it in a large water jar and the rest into smaller vases. Even made a tiny one for my tea table. I started journaling after randomly picking up a book about bullet journaling. I kept it simple and wrote a little each day—and over time, the collection just grew. The main eyesore was, and still is the return vent for the HVAC.  But I have learned that one is not supposed to cover that up. I had ideas of putting a woven textile on that wall or something to cover it up. That is why I have the white room divider there to distract from it while not totally inhibiting the return vent. Perhaps the easiest way to make it blend in is to just paint it the same color of the wall. But that’s messy and I’m lazy to go find the paint and do it. Lol.  Plus, I already have the room divider. So I might as well use it. But let me get to the exciting part. I just found this wonderful black and white geographic stripes canvas art for $30 at a store called Ross (Dress for less). When I saw it I was attracted to it and I thought “what a dramatic pop of color that goes well with pink as a background”. (my wall) The size of the art also helps to “pack a punch”. Putting that on the wall and letting it be the sole piece on that wall, (I moved the former artworks to the living room) inspired some redecorating. One thing led to another and I’ve had an enjoyably creative past couple of days. I think that there is plenty about this room that detracts from the eyesores on the right wall. The room divider helps too, of course. The last pic in this post shows the living room in which you’ll see the vintage woman artwork that I moved from the pink wall. I will show you more pics of these past couple of day’s decorating in some future posts. Man, did I take a lot of pictures! I love decor and I love doing photography. So, it goes hand in hand for me.
