They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and in our English-inspired coquette cottage, that couldn’t be more true. For me, a cozy afternoon spent baking is the ultimate form of self-care and a way to show love. I’ve outfitted my happy place with tools that are both beautiful and functional. Let’s start with the incredible wüsthof knives—they are true state-of-the-art works of art. Yes, an investment, but worth every penny. My partner and I gifted ourselves the set for Christmas and haven’t looked back! Of course, no baker’s kitchen is complete without a @Smed mixer. I adore this pink beauty (they now have a rainbow of colors to choose from!). It’s the only brand I trust. And for the little details: the retro straw holder is a simple DIY—just spray-paint the insert!—and the cozy ambiance in the back comes from an ultra-affordable LED flame bulb from Amazon. #mirror #mirrors #timelessdecor #walldecoration **MY MIRRORS** (excluding bathroom mirror) **AND A TIP FOR ADDING COLOR** Pic no. 1 shows three changes on my gallery wall. One of them involves replacing one art piece with the sunburst mirror. Pics no. 2 and no. 6 show the end results of coloring mirror surfaces with magic markers. I did that with those mirrors that i used in previous apartments. I didn’t have paints on hand. So, I experimented by using coloring markers. It allows you to still see reflection in the mirrors and they are still glossy. So, it’s like a tinting” effect. Warning! If you do the magic marker technique, make sure that your clothes don’t brush up against the tinted mirror. Pic no. 3 shows a windowpane style mirror that i found at thrift. Pic no. 4 shows a Mid- Century Modern style mirror. The black colored part was originally a whitewashed wood color. When I bought it, I thought that I would one day stain it a pretty Walnut color. But since I decided to put it on my pink wall, the choice of coloring it with a Sharpie marker made sense as to make a dramatic color impact. Pic no. 5 shows a round mirror and a full length mirror leaning against a wall by my apartment’s entrance door. Pic no. 7 shows two mirrors in my bedroom’s gallery wall. And finally, Pic no. 8 shows two mirrors stacked together in my bedroom creating an alternative to a full length mirror so that i could see most of my body.

I was actually surprised how comfortable they are. I thought I’d need to give up comfort for the sake of beauty, but it turns out beauty can come with the comfort as well! I also love the Louis Poulsen Panthella lamp, and I believe it’s also designed by Verner Panton. Unlike other black items, the lamp has a glossy finish, which I really love with the matte table by HAY.</span>
