The kitchen in our previous house needed a full overhaul from its 90s vibe. I called that home the Moody Nordic Cottage and designed it using a lot of black-and-white, with small pops of color throughout. We took the white cabinets to black with the help of IKEA and semi handmade cabinet fronts. From there I chose white quartz with a marble look for the counters. We did shiplap as the backsplash to bring in the cottage feel. And all the hardware and fixtures were aged brass or black.
