Honest review of my mirror setup. Mirror from Amazon - 10/10 It doesn’t get dirty easily as it doesn’t attract too much dust, and the shape is pretty. I’ve had it over a year and there’s no scratches or bending. Rug from IKEA - 7/10 It’s cheap and cute and the size fits the mirror perfectly. I wish it wouldn’t get so dirty quick though. With both of us working from home (hello, Zoom calls all day!), we needed to carve out separate workspaces—without taking up too much room in our condo. This slim desk fits perfectly by the window, letting in plenty of light during the day. Making storage interesting: in the kitchen I use an open wire shelf on wheels to display my bakeware and to hold some plants. The storage is easy to reach and I don’t forget about dishes that would otherwise be shoved to the back of a cupboard, or on a high shelf. If you have ample natural light in the kitchen, growing some culinary herbs is a nice and practical touch. Here I repurposed tomato sauce cans for growing basil.

I’ve introduced you to my paradise and lemon tree. Today I want to introduce you to my camellia and monstera plants. Plants need sunlight to grow so I like to make sure my plants get plenty of sun. In my kitchen I also always make sure to have herbs such as thyme or rosemary. Since it’s spring I decided to switch out the monsteria leaves for some cherry blossom branches. I hope they bloom soon!

A tip for the kitchen is to have open storage like baskets or bowls for fresh fruits and vegetables on the countertop so you can know what fruits and vegetables you have easier, and since fruits and vegetables double as decor if the storage baskets are see through or transparent 🍅🧅🍋 Since I love the hues of fruits and veggies, I’ll purchase fun fruits or veggies sometimes like a white sweet potato or a large heirloom tomato that looks like it’s straight off a painting. 🖼️ One more kitchen tip that I’m loving is to place a small dish as a magnet on your fridge so you can use it as decor and a pill dish where you can place your vitamins. 💊 What kind of kitchen tips do you have?
